Well done Nish thats one sexy axe mate, ive often considered one myself.

Is that signed by Burnie himself? Or who ever did the final checks before being shipped?

All Rico Jr's are signed by the man himself. He does it prior to finishing the guitar.
He has a guy who helps him out with the paint finishes on his guitars, besides that it's all him.
He does every part of the build process from wood selection to final setup/buffing/wiring.
Everything is done by hand by the one guy, he doesn't even use CNC's to cut his basic body shapes.

If you're thinking of ordering one my advice is go for it, but be prepared to wait a while! If you don't want the big wait time, he always has builds in progress that you can buy and spec your preference of hardware colour, control layout and pickups. It's not full custom that way but you do get a much shorter wait and a cheaper price to boot. There's always a few on his website and if you email him he may have a few more.
His brand has recently had a huge explosion in popularity and his wait times have blown out, but he still doesn't cut any corners, he actually refinished one of the guitars I have on order because he wasn't happy with it after setting up the guitar. The guy is a ridiculously meticulous perfectionist. The fretwork and setups on his guitars is pretty jawdropping, even after they've shipped all the way over here.

When i went to the Aussie distributor's showroom the day before it opened, Nish's guitar was actually there and I can vouch for it's awesomeness, you really need to see it in the flesh. It's a weighty beast too!

Don't mean to rain on Shane's parade here but I love Bernie's work and I can vouch for him. Custom ESP's are absolutely fantastic instruments too, I guess it just boils down to what you're looking for in a guitar and in a builder.

He probably meant that literally, as in he held it up over an actual guitar and it just kinda dissolved to feces over it.

No parade to be rained on, all cool 8-) Bear in mind, same deal for ESP customs, they're built by one builder from start to finish, excepting paint, so we're talking the same level of detail for both.
