Ordering ESP Custom

Post by thetenthplace » Tue Sep 16, 2008 7:12 am

Hi All,
I was wondering about my own Custom ESP,
i wanted to lay down a few thoughts and get some feed back if poss

White Ash Body, and neck
Forest GT shape, Neck through body, stock forest GT headstock
Thin U Neck
ebony fingerboard (blank), 24 frets
string thru
Schaller Locking Tuners (if i spelt that right)

it will be matt black
Have Ichigos Bankai on the left of the bridge as you look at it, with a red glow around him
Image
and bleach logo on the headstock:
Image

thinking of going triple humbucker again, but i wanted to know if anyone could make a mock for me if poss

i was hoping for help on the pickups, i wanted passive pickups, (i am trying to keep battery price to a min seeing as i have 3 actives >_<)
i was play alot of rock and metal, was thinking about di marzio super distortion or mayb Seymour Blackouts, any feed back or ideas for 3 pickups?

a switch for each pickup (i have this on another guitar and like it) each switch being on/off (poss on/dingle coil/ off) placed under each pickup
and a volume (not sure where to put it)

umm i am sorry if this was confusing, first time i have asked for anything like this >_<
if i have said too much or little just say, main thing is i would love a mockup and to go from there and get an estimate, then it will be brought asap ^__^

Edit: could i ask for a mock up on 6 and 7 string?

good point i forgot about that, BUT, the thing is, each copyright covers certain countries and goods,
so really it may be possible if this is not covered in their trademark, and depending on the country too, although i guess they would cover japan, so esp will be out of the question =[

could it be mocked anyway though? i would love to see my dream >_<

if you want passive pups and since you are in the UK have a look at bareknuckle pickups. I think they will do exactly what you need them to do and you can customise them any way you like.
if you got copyright problems just take the image and edit it here and there so it doesnt look like the original much, then ESP will make it.
It will most likely cost you another 500 to 1k quid to get those graphics on the body.
i play a megafeth style..really heavy with alot of squeals and deadened/muffing chords and it was awesome.

and the knot in the back adds caractor...i even have a proper custom here with 4 knots on the front that will also blow any other custom guitar away for the purpose its been made for..

to be fair the top one is by a fan, and the bottom isn't the 'official' logo as such
so may be a question of finding out if those are copyrighted, damnit means i have to work now lol

looked at bare knuckle, how about, 2 painkillers and a holydiver in between?

about bareknuckles, i would suggest you ask in their forum or email tim directly (he is the guy who makes them).
describe what tone you like and what woods you plan to use and he will tell you exactly which one you need. Don't forget they are custom pickups so you can do anything you want with those in terms of coil and magnets so painkiller or holydiver do not describe much as you can do either overwound, underwound or change the mangets etc to alter their tone.

regarding the graphics, i would suggest you go ahead and send them to esp and let them tell you if they will do it or not. at the latest you will get your reply in a weeks time if your dealer is as good as bmusic is.

Ash body and neck? That's... interesting.

For less than the cost of the graphics couldn't you get someone local to make some decals instead?

Interesting concept but you'd probably have to have the images modified if they would do it and that's never a good result not to mention what you'd be stuck with if you ever get over the whole Zanpakuto guitar concept.

They make necks out of ash? I guess it'll work if they make baseball bats out of them (even though they are reputed to shatter).

Yeah, because they're swinging them at 95 mph baseballs. Just a point of information, they also make maple bats (which fucking explode when they break).

Whether or not the wood can be used for a baseball bat has no effect on how it will sound now, does it?

ran prices are very different to ESP. If you go ESP for something like this you are looking at around 3k at least.

Jesus RAN's have got expensive, I got both mine shipped with hadcase for like £900 each, at that price id rather pay extra and have an ESP.
