I think H-H would be the most popular choice.. well mine anyway.. the black checkerplate pickguard is pretty cool, but this might be a bit complex for a BMF run

If you were gonna do it with a pickguard you could just order them without one and everyone can get their own pickguard a nd pickups to suit their config.

or you could go with a H-S-H config with coil splits, then its the best of both worlds

That looks really awesome even without the pickups IMO, reminds me of that Variax guitar

It's just... a little ugly. Not for me.

The strat with the checker pickguard is interesting... I'd go propeller (or diamond) plating rather than checker plate... that stuff is just ugly.
