LTD SC-607B pick up problem???

Post by CYBER LIP » Tue Apr 08, 2014 12:48 pm

Hi guys

Recently I have been getting some noise that I cannot get rid off when playing my LTD SC-607B with EMG's.

I am using a new good quality guitar lead, and have adjusted my tone settings as much as I can using relatively low gain and noise gate settings but I still cant shake it. I have put in a new battery too.

Here is a sample of what I mean. You can hear it when I come off a chug and when I let a chord fade out.

Any help/advice would be appreciated

That works. Next time you're restringing take the pickup out and ensure the spade connection on the back of the pickup is secure. That's the first thing to eliminate.

Checked it last time I restrung it just a week ago. Pretty secure. I should add that I am also getting that noise through my neck pick up too.

Next to check is the input jack wiring. Has it ever come loose, the input jack, and you've tightened it from the outside?

Nope, never had a loose problem with it. Still is tight and snug.

Could be the connection to the battery, a remote chance. Is this happening all plugged in to the same rig in the same room?
