Jeff Hanneman Signature ESPs

Post by guitarsatbmusic » Sun May 05, 2013 2:04 pm

The passing of Jeff gave me occcasion to do the right thing and get out my Hanneman sigs I still have and snap some pics to share and to give them a bit of a pluck. You can see, some haven't been played in years, if at all, judging by the rust on the strings or tarnished frets!

Wow. That is an awesome collection there Shane. Interesting that the 2004/5 ones seem to have Floyd trems? I thought he'd been a Kahler guy forever (just about).

I've been sitting on your website drooling over the STD Urban Camo model.... :(

Kahler weren't producing trems at the time. I have one more to get back after selling mine, the Urban Camo Custom Shop Sword inlaid one with Kahler

Awesome collection!

I hope ESP will honour Jeff's long association with the company with some kind of tribute axe.

Real shame about Jeff. :( He wrote all the best slayer riffs!

Shane, have you got any of Kerry's old ESP signature guitars? Always loved the red and black crackle KKV-380. 8-)

I have the plain black one. I'd donate a body part for the red and black crackle one

Yes, I did used to have the black, never the 380 unfortunately. The red crackle was insanely expensive when released (380,000 Yen back then was WAAAY more than any other overseas artist model) so not many at all were made. Was a very detailed and time consuming paint job, hence the price.

Awesome collection, Shane!

There's a S&K, previously owned by Jeff himself, up for sale on eBay right now. Pricey as hell though.
