Gday guys,

I need to get one of these soon and was looking for your opinions on what you have and what it's like. I'm not a rich man, but I don't like buying shit I'll have to replace soon either. It's going to be getting a fairly heavy work out as I'm currently studying Audio Engineering and I'm also in a bunch of bands that I'll putting down songs on 'tools for.

I put up a pole too, for shits and giggles.

All help appreciated.

Troy.

What's the difference between the Mbox 2 and the Mbox 2 Pro? Either one of those should be fine.

The Pro costs a bit more and has a few more features.

Did you end up getting one, Troy? I'm on the hunt now too - and a bit out of my depth because I don't know anything about cubase vs. pro tools, what features I'll need, etc. Urgh!

Pro tools. Don't waste your time with anything else. It's the industry standard for a reason. Unless you want it for midi, in which case not so crash hot.

And no I haven't got one yet. Still trying to decide which to go for.
