Which guitar is it, the white one? That "Junior" looks like an early bolt-on Mirage from what I can see. What is the the JP-KHV, the RV shape?

I always thought the Junior was the same thing as a Mirage of that era, but only made for Europe. I could be wrong about that, but that's what I remember...They come up on ebay in the US from time to time. I think they were made in the early 90s.

Edit: And yeah, all the ones I've seen are bolt on.

(not mine btw obviously)

That's probably just a standard sig. My '90s KH-2 has a serial K-2XXXX with the old school ESP Custom Guitars stamp, which means the older KHs just had the model number first.

Hi! I'm new in this forum...I'm italian and I'm a great fan of ESP...I've 3 ESP EXP, 1 ESP MX-250, 1 ESP KH-2SE...

I'm trying to find a solution to do order in the numbering of OLD ESP....

I've keep the record of some serials of old ESP guitars with the ESP certificate that proove the date...or guitar that have the date of manufacture write on pencil under the neck join...and this is my records

SET NECK GUITARS: 8 digits serial number stamped in white or black in the back of the headstock (NO "ESP Custom Guitars" circle logo)
130xxxxx --> 1990
240xxxxx --> 1990
140xxxxx --> 1991
150xxxxx --> 1992
161xxxxx --> 1993
190xxxxx --> 1994
250xxxxx --> 1995

BOLT ON GUITARS: 5 DIGITS punched on the bolt plate where the neck meets the body in the back of the guitar
????? --> 1994
222xx--> 1995
260xx--> 1996
273xx--> 1997
291xx--> 1997
310xx--> 1998
????? --> 1999
????? --> 2000

I think the old number are consecutive, but some guitars of the same year with 8 digit s.n. starts with 2....instead of 1.... so I think this can be to different factory.

How many factory have ESP in the 90's ????

And....anyone knows IN WHICH YEAR esp starts with the new numbering sistem???

Hi,

I like to track the exact origin of this guitar, only info I have is a custom order ESP from 1998. Is basically a traditional les Paul in honey burst, mahogany body and neck, ESP script logo in the heastock also written Limited MODEL in les paul type kind font. I found this guitar almost exactly to NAVIGATOR NLP 480 LTD model but with ESP logo.

Craftsmanship is superb, white binding in the body and even above the fret edges, frets are kind squared shape.

Serial number is 27048318

Thanks!

Someone may have ordered it badged ESP and not Navigator domestically. The serial number system then can offer no further assistance

No, no more info from the serial number. It was not uncommon for people to have Navigators badged ESP. Indeed, we have had a Navigator V built but badged it ESP ourselves

Just a quick question : I remember seing a 2003 Arrowhead without the "Custom Shop" logo at the back of the guitar head, this Scythe has it... Is there any logical explanation?

No, likely domestic market and didn't figure to put it on (there was no Standard Series at the time). The one you're looking at was one of the very first and was at MusikMesse and Alexi was part of it. Maybe designated Custom Shop because it was one of the first, or knowing it was to be shown off, who knows. A renowned skating chap bought that one off me. I assume he still has it.

Ok, thanks :)
It's a funny explanation! Not saying you're wrong, just saying it's funny how things can be different because the guys didn't know how to handle all that new stuff at the begining of the Alexi sigs.

EDIT : I managed to find the picture and the serial was K0335402 which means it was made before that Scythe guitar (week 35 for the Arrowhead and week 40 for the Scythe above).
That may answer my question as well!

Does this system like this apply to Korean made LTD models?
I'm looking at E050073.

E = ?
05 = made in 2005?
0 = 1st week of year
0 = 1st day of week
73 = 73rd off the line?

Which factory would "E" be?
