No, the first thing one notices actually is the feel of the finish, a little less "plasticky" on the ESP SS to Edwards. The fret work and so forth is a little more "production line" on the Edwards though, yes. The CS is starkly different of course.

Just out of curiosity: the standard Kiko would cost me 2150€, what would say might be the approximate mark-up for a custom version?

Holy mass inflation, batman! I asked at a dealer's yesterday, and the price for a CS Kiko would be close to 6000€. That's friggin crazy, wouldn't it be cheaper if I had a custom horizon built according to the Kiko's specs and put my name on the 24th fret?

Is figured maple and scalloping really that expensive? That is like £1500 more than the quote for my custom. I guess Nef doesn't have a good dealer relationship like I do. :D

That is probably true, but he's given me the best price for a new F-Std FR that I could find anywhere in RL or internet shops.

Customs and SS are very different beasts, as are the dealers who specialise in them :-D
