Edwards re-sale value

Post by rjspurling » Tue Feb 22, 2011 10:43 am

I have a disease which causes me to purchase a guitar, play it for a few months, then decide to sell it and buy something else (the never ending search for the perfect guitar). I'm GASing for an E-LP-92CD (JS), but I'm sure I'll probably end up wanting to sell it down the line. However, the resale value probably isn't as good as the other guitars I've sold.

I'll pay around $1050 for it new. What's a realistic price that I could sell it for assuming I own it for 3 months to 6 months? $750?

I don't see the resale of it being any worse than anything else. If anything has poor resale nowadays it's some of the biggest names as there are just SOOOO many available on the second-hand market.
