Got me an Edwards and loving it. E-LP-98LTS

Post by burkey » Mon Aug 02, 2010 6:52 pm

I was selling some gear to put towards a Gibbo Les Paul and got offered an Edwards as a trade.
I was a bit reluctant at first but once I checked it out I was very impressed and was sold on it straight away.

It looks awesome, feels great and the tone is perfect for me as well.

The the only decision is screws in or out now that I've removed the pickguard lol.
Oh, and now I have to fight the urge to get another one!!

Definitely take the screws out. They only serve to make the holes twice as obvious being there.

And... nice score. Edwards LPs seem like great value.

Yeah, I'll have to have a crack at the pickups.
The bloke who traded it to me said that's how it arrived, like they had aged the pickups I guess.
The Duncan stickers were still on the pickups when I got it.

I got the same model in Lemon drop with some mods : I swap the pickups for a Bulldog pickups black label set ; change all the electronics with switchcraft/CTS stuff and put a tonepros bridge with graphtech saddles . The old one causes buzz because it didn't support the big tensions of the strings when I have tuned really low .
I need to swap the shitty tuners when I got some money .

Great guitar .
Surely better if she had XJ frets ^^
