New Dream Theater album streaming now

Post by Petie » Tue Sep 17, 2013 7:04 pm

Hey folks! Dream Theater and Roadrunner Records are exclusively streaming the band's new album on my site for a week. It's due out on September 20, but you can hear it all here: http://iheartguitarblog.com/2013/09/dre ... tream.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

What do you think?

I think my favourite moment is Petrucci's wild solo on Surrender To Reason. He told me that when he laid that one down he pictured the band in a smoky bar at 2:00am just going for it. And I also dig the big dirty bass tones.

This album was all done with the Music Man JP13 with his new DiMarzio Illuminator pickups.

Thanks Pete!

I like this album. Definitely a lot more than the previous release which I never really took to. I was pretty excited about it after hearing the Enemy Inside but after listening to it I'm not so sure. It was cool, but not particularly special (to me at least) in any way. Still prefer some of their other albums like Train of Thought, and Systematic Chaos which was pretty much the album that got me into Dream Theater. But yeah, solid release nonetheless!

The bass tone sounds the best it ever has I reckon!
