Tinnitus

Post by Nickosaurus » Sat Jul 09, 2011 8:10 pm

Hey guys,

Just wanted to ask all your experiences with tinnitus, how it's affected your life, how you deal with it, protect from it etc.

Mine's been spiking lately and it's giving me the absolute shits.. Need some emotional support. :|

Somewhere in this thread once you get past my shit talk etc. There is a bit of discussion about tinnitus.

I've got Tinnitus, so I can sympathise with you.

Constant ringing in the ears, especially when you try to sleep. It's annoying!

i suffer from it mate... its not to bad though, only really notice it when im sleeping.

Once i started noticing i had it, i did take some serious actions to lessen its effects, namely listening to music on headphones alot less, and on much lower volumes, using earplugs at gigs, and when playing guitar at loud volumes. And even measures like drinking very little coffee and trying to avoid asprin.

I really sympathise with you if its affecting your day-today life, touch wood i dont end up that bad.

As my friend said, "You have to look after what you've got."

i hate it! sometimes i cant sleep because of it.
We had an exam at tafe where we had to tell how many dB a certain frequency had dropped by and half the time i couldn't tell whether it had even changed or not because of the ringing haha. it pisses me right off
