WARNING: SCAMMER ALERT - UPDATED 13/5/12

Post by professoro » Mon Aug 30, 2010 9:48 pm

To all legitimate and honest members of the bMusic forum, (EDIT: PLEASE READ THE 2ND PAGE ON RECENT ACTIVITIES BY JAYSE)

I am writing to inform you of a scammer who has been in our midsts in recent months.
Through my own detective work, assistance from Shane and contact with many victims of his schemes, I have compiled a large amount of information on the scammer.
I am refering to 'dethcore666' ala 'mrlabronx84' on ebay.
In the past year he has scammed many people out of substantial amounts of money.
He has 'sold' items ranging from musical equipment right through to iphones.
In one known instance, he even posed as 'Jason Leombruni' of The Red Shore. This is fraud and I would suggest that anyone who is contact with the band to inform them of this scammer.

I will refer to the user only as 'Jayse from Chermside QLD'; the following details are some users he has used past and present.
theshred84, jamieesp, dethcore666, jl-bronx, mrlabronx84,
http://www.youtube.com/user/JustJayse1984" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.brismetal.com/phpBB3/viewtop ... =6&t=15643" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://myworld.ebay.com.au/notinusedoosh/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; <- already changed his user name
http://feedback.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAP ... tForOthers" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; <- this is what happened with the engl fireball

He has used a myriad of different emails, phone numbers and users in his scams and continues to setup new ebay accounts to defraud people.
If you have dealt with this user, have been or know anyone who has been scammed, please get in contact with me.

I remember him. This guy was selling a ESP Horizon natural gloss (seymour duncans, fixed bridge version) on ebay few months ago. claiming he bought it from bmusic and there are only 2 of these in Australia.
I paid him by PAYPAL, it was very lucky for me, 10 days after the money goes back to my account.
i remember he said his name was Jason, and the ebay user name was redshore something.
So yeah, always use paypal when you are not sure who you are dealing with!

^ You bought that too!? Someone paid the $1,200 in direct deposit and lost it.
He screwed someone using our name claiming he bought it from us. And then he screwed someone directly on here for a few hundred with an Ibanez I'd seen him list on eBay around the same time as the natural satin Horizon. I don't take kindly to either of those things Jason, and now you're feeling it!

its kinda scary that he actually posted on this forum prior (eg asking for amp recommendations etc) instead of outright trying to order caskets.

i considered picking up that fireball when i initially saw it on ebay...but something didnt feel right (the price was being reduced every couple of hours.)
i consider myself lucky for umming and ahhing over it as im usually pretty trigger happy. luckily i checked on here (and it was "sold" already)

did this p.o.s try to list that fireball severall times on here...saying its sold...then it wasnt sold again...hence double/triple dipping?

on another note...i know its hard to self-police this kinda thing as its kinda buyer/beware, but ive put a list of good folk ive bought stuff from in the spot under "my rig", would it be an idea to have a good transactions part in our profile?

Man this is a wake up call for me to be more cautious when buying from zbay :shock: :evil: I too was pondering over that natural horizon for some time. Glad I didn't do anything about it. Shane's my only Horizon man!

If anyone has been a victim of this scammer then they need to report it using the following criteria.
http://www.police.qld.gov.au/programs/c ... et/report/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I believe that this can even be used if he attempted to scam you i.e. no money was lost.

Im a victim myself, lost $700 trying to buy an LTD H1000 off this ladies thingy back in May. QLD police have my statement and info as well as a hell of a lot of other people. So if anyone has dealt with this guy please dont be backwards in coming forwards to the QLD police. I can provide all the forms you need to fill out and the people on the force who are dealing with the case if needed as well.

Im not sure where they started off. Mine was over Ebay. I think some of the earlier ones are from the brismetal forum. Where he was using "dethcore666" and "theshred84" As far as im aware he was using "dethcore666" on here.
