Re: Going to Japan soon, what to buy...

Hmmm, I'm going to be in Tokyo Mid-Late April. Myself and two have my friends have all bought goods from kurosawa-gakki when we visited Ochanomizu. I got a Caparison TAT-I back in 2007, one friend got a Red M-II Original Series last year and a MX-250II in 2008 and another bought a RG2727 last year. ...

Re: Where the hell is everyone???

Indeed Shane-san! I'm away on the Sun, Sea and Shrapnel tour! I'm not bothered about the work in Iraq (will be working on a platform out in the Persian Gulf) but I have to spend a day/night in Basrah which I'm not looking forward to! workmates are no help - wondered out loud "how am I getting back h...

Re: Where the hell is everyone???

Sorry Guys, life's been kicking my ass pretty hard (Off to Iraq on Saturday, yikes!) so I've been keeping my forum use to a minimum. Just kept with the most active one (esp usa) and left the others to lurking. Hope you're all well, cockbags!

Re: The UFC thread -

Discovered I'm woefully prone to injury with BJJ, in 2 months I completely knackered my elbows, broke a toe trying to get traction on the mats and managed to acquire a Staph Infection as well. Ace!

Oh well, back again tomorrow! :D

Nice choice Shane. Goldtops are lovely. And how could I forget... I've been wanting one of these for ages.... Engl SE EL34 http://www.musik-schmidt.de/images/product_images/original_images/E670EL34.jpg But I'd gladly settle for one of these too... http://www.barryrudolph.com/newtoys/toys6/graphics/...

Re: A few Eclipse FT questions

Oh yes indeed, though gear lust still haunts me baaaaaad! Would love to move my MV so I could grab either an Axe FX Ultra (saving myself a fortune in FX units) or grab a Suhr M4 as I played one down in Glasgow and it was amazing! Don't think I could sell the FT for a reasonable price as I think it's...

I went to Tokyo earlier this year I took a heap of photos and wrote a lot, which might be of use to you not everything I have written is strictly true, I like to stretch the truth to make amusing http://www.r4d.org/japan/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Nice blog dude! That's awesome mate, incidentally your E.P is being mixed by one of my friends/old bandmates Darren. From what I've heard on your myspace it sounds awesome! You can rest assured that he won't let you have it until he's 100% satisfied! :-D

Re: A few Eclipse FT questions

I found that my FT is *fractionally* wider than a LPC. Maybe 1.5mm tops but it was wider. The neck is fine. I'm running mine in Drop B with 11-56's on and it plays brilliantly. Don't think my mate had to file the nut to get the 56 in. (incidentally Shane, the SilB is now running a Lundgren M6//Dimar...

Re: Need Some Tips for my Japanese Trip!

indra - that'd be a great plan! Don't know if I'm going in 2011, wanting to try and visit South Korea as one of my Childhood friends is teaching English over there and I'm supposed to be going to Thailand as well. If the latter one falls through (quite likely as it's supposed to be a Muay Thai train...

Re: Need Some Tips for my Japanese Trip!

indra - I've been over every year since 2006. I'm quite fond of the place! :-D I'll semi agree with Flames - DON'T GET A TAXI, that shit's expensive , if you've never been before a safer bet is grabbing the Limo bus especially if you're staying at a normal hotel. If you come out the baggage area of ...

Re: Need Some Tips for my Japanese Trip!

Loner, I think it depends on what line you're using for the times of the last train but around Midnight is pretty accurate. Good call on taking cash, most hotel rooms have Safes in them that are safe enough. As said - Crime in Japan is incredibly low. Perhaps has something to do with the 95% convict...
