Pedal Power supplies?

Talk about the rest of the rig - amps, effects, valves, leads, wireless set-ups, racks, anything that brings out the best in your axes.

Pedal Power supplies?

Postby VIPER » Thu Aug 25, 2011 2:04 pm

Hey guys,

I am about to do a pedal board shuffle and require a different power supply to handle the new setup.

The new setup will have:

Voodoo labs ground control pro - 9v ac
Digitech whammy - 12 ac
Boss TU2 - 9v dc
MXR smart gate - 9v dc
some no name od pedal - 9v dc

So far the only power supply I can find all these pedals is the Cioks AC-10, is there any others that can handle 9v dc, 9v ac and 9v ac?

cheers

Scott

The Source is a pedal power device which will do the job for you.
http://www.guitarbits.com.au/ these guys make this device.
Each port can be altered to a different voltage and ac/dc up to 24v

The other thing is that it's got a rechargeable battery inside which can run 6 pedals for 8 hours according to what I've read about this device.

I put together a pedalboard earlier in the year and got a Cioks Baby Mach II and Big John from Shane. They are great products and tuck nicely in underneath the pedalboard. The included flex cables are good and both power supplies are still going strong.

Depending on the pedal board I get I might just keep the t-rex fuel tank jr I have now to power all the dc stuff and get an ac one and mount them underneath the board.

Might be the cheaper option.

I have the bigger T-Rex Fuel Tank and it has both DC and AC power outlets. I think they're around $300 or so.

The T-Rex chameleon does dc and ac just not 9ac, form memory it can do 12 ac.

I was going to get it until I got the voodoo ground control pro.

I just found out that the voodoo labs gcp can be run using 9vdc power, this gives me a heap more options now.

So really I just need one that can do multiple 9v dc's and a 12v ac.

Cioks AC Rider looks like a good choice.
