Where can I get female - male IEC cords in Sydney?

Talk about the rest of the rig - amps, effects, valves, leads, wireless set-ups, racks, anything that brings out the best in your axes.

Where can I get female - male IEC cords in Sydney?

Postby MiloF » Wed Jul 20, 2011 1:14 pm

Need them for my power distro. Jaycar do them at $9.00 for 2m but I want maybe 1m/0.5m just to keep things tidier in the rack. I'm not really keen on soldering my own, I just don't mess with my electricity with my gear.
Im thinking FOTs my man for this.

I got mine off eBay. I think the company is based at Brookvale if that helps.

RS Components.

Search them in the google!

I make all my own ones, but you can buy them all there.

While I'm looking for you, for your own reference in the future, the plug types you want are C13 (Male) and C14(Female) connections on IEC leads.

I can make them all up for you, but to buy all the parts, and have them custom length, will cost you more than buying cables off the shelf. The advantages of me doing them however, is that you'll have them done to the exact length in your rack, with no mess, all cable tied up nicely. Also, they'd be done by a licenced Electrician and not some dude in the back shed.

Above is the link for what I think you're asking for.

These cables let you go from the back of power conditioners, and into anything that uses an IEC style plug.

Just make sure you work out whether or not you want the 90 degree angled ones, or the straight ones, depending on your specific application. But this at least puts you in the right area.
