Two Notes Torpedo Live

Postby Edes01 » Tue Nov 18, 2014 10:45 am

Okay so I've had this unit for a little over a week.
I've probably spent around 20 hours playing with this tweaking settings for both Guitar and Bass.
Guitar tones wise I am getting really usable tones from my tube amps and after some post EQ work I am clearing up the tone a lot.
I am getting the best bass tones I've ever recorded. The signal path is ESP LTD Tom Araya bass into a MXR M80 bass di+ which is plugged into the line in on the Torpedo Live which is simulating an 8x10 cabinet.

Bang for buck this is the best thing I've purchased for my home studio.
I am primarily a tube amp guy.
The snax, kemper and pod have their place but I always end up back playing through heads.
The volume required for home recording is prohibitive and I am not in the mood to receive the wraith of my wife or neighbours.

I'm very pleased with my purchase and it definitely deserves a solid 8.5/10

Pros:
1 ru design
Great variety of tones for both bass and guitar
Wall of Sound plugin and 30+ additional cabinets included for free when registering the device.
The wife loves the volume coming down the hallway.

Cons -
Kinda miss that Back to the Future esque feeling when striking that first chord.
