The end of the line ESP Standard Series - what's left

Postby guitarsatbmusic » Thu Jun 19, 2014 11:17 pm

As many are aware ESP discontinued the Standard Series badging in 2013 and replaced that with the new E-II branding. Stores could place orders until November 2012 for ESP Standard Series and then those guitars were built and delivered through to around April of last year. There is an amount of stock left of ESP Standard Series, both the last of those produced plus stock dating back earlier that has been warehoused since being delivered to Australia.
A full list of what's available and pricing is below, each include an ESP hardcase and freight is extra. Buyers outside of Australia divide the price by 1.1 to get the price exclusive of the Australian GST. Prices are in Australian dollars (AUD)
This list is liquid and moving reasonably quickly so if there is anything of interest to you from the very last of the Standard Series ESPs let us know.

Turns out there are some Horizons manta :)

Gonna miss those original Eclipse cutaways tbh..

IMO the USA cutaways are like a disease that has already spread across the entire current production Eclipses (even MAs..) :|

Interestingly, I see the local guitar store here stocks a couple of ESP Standard guitars (a Horizon and a Eclipse) produced in 2014 with SS14.... serials. But the same store also stocks all the new E-IIs too. ESP is making things very confusing.

ESP Standards with 14 serials? Interesting. Could have been from orders that were mistakenly unfulfilled when the cut off happened in November 2012. Certainly wouldn't be the norm going forward seeing as E-II is now also available in Japan.

The list has changed a LOT since it was initially posted. Things getting very, very scarce now. I think there's one silverburst, but it's unlikely to be slashed something crazy at this stage

Fair enough. If it was not for my car troubles at the Christmas holidays I would have bought it when it was on sale then.
