Cheers.

The VHT is great.
I bought a Mesa Dual Recto years ago which I loved but over time found that I wanted something more.
The VHT is very tight and responsive, the best thing is that you can get a high gain tone but keep great definition.
Whereas the Recto is nice and warm but doesn't quite have the fast response and attack. Probably sounds bigger though.

I love both amps for different reasons but the VHT is definitely my favourite.
I'm thinking about trying some EL34's in the Recto to see how it sounds, works wonders in the VHT.

Some people find the VHT too dry, so it's not to everyones taste but I absolutely love it.

And using the same amp as PH. Nothing wrong with being a Helmet fan at all :)

Yep, you've figured me out.

Aside from being a Helmet fanboy I really love that amp.
I have heard a few US bands playing them and wanted to give them a go.
I wouldn't think there were heaps in Aus and it keeps the sound a little unique I guess. And it just gave me that extra 10% over other amps I have tried.

I'd love to do a show with the VHT and Mesa in stereo but it's total overkill. Would be awesome though.

Well, once I've moved over and brought all me gear along, perhaps you can try your VHT in stereo with a Mesa then...

It sounds great. It's huge.
I use a BOSS GT-3 for effects and have run the amps in stereo from the GT-3.
Gives you a good listen but it creates a loud ground loop hum.

I've tried some A-B boxes but the same thing happens.
I'll need to look at a Radial Tonebone switcher, I've been told they are the best ABY switcher at the moment to eliminate the hum.

I'm gonna try some EL34's in the Dual Recto to see how it sound, I've only ever run it with 6L6's.
