Simply put both the AxeFX and the VH4 are my ideal units for what I'm doing these days.

I run direct into the AxeFX, then using the FX loop out I run into the Diezel, run the Diezel FX loop out into the FX return of the AxeFX, and the output of the AxeFX into the Diezel FX return. It's the 4 cable method or whatever it's called. Takes a lot of fine tuning though that I'm still getting my head around. Can be a bit noisy, but I'm working on that, cos I know the VH4 is a very quiet amplifier on it's own.

I still haven't found my family's tartan. When I do however, I'm gonna have a fuckin' righteous kilt made. If I can't find the tartan, perhaps tie-dye will be the new one. :p

The middle pickup serves me fine, I kinda like the tonal qualities it has. I am still mulling over the idea of having a custom single coil pickup made for the neck position, and replacing the EMG's. The current configuration works for now anyway.

Hey dudes, rearranged things a little, so here's how things are at present. You'll also notice a lovely Martin 000-28 which is my father's. Best acoustic I've ever heard, it's perfect.

Yeah that Martin's something special.

The Firestudio is basically a recording/audio interface. In it's most basic form there there 8 mic preamp's which are of decent enough quality, 5.1 monitor handling, and brilliant expandability. I'll probably get a Digimax FS at some point to add another 8 mic preamp's whenever I need before upgrading to a better interfact. Can get up to 26 i/o with it. I use it for mic's, DI'ing the AxeFX, etc. I don't have a pair of monitors so I can only monitor/mix with headphones at the moment, but that's ok for now.

Read the above post, cover it well enough in there. Easy to use, preamps are decent enough to get by with.
