Michael Romeo - Symphony X Dellinger-MJR Signature Model
Dellinger-MJR Pro. White was used as the main guitar on the new album "Paradise Lost" of Symphony X. Despite it's simple appearance, based on Caparison's Dellinger II, there is more to the Dellinger-MJR than meets the eye. To create this unique neck grip shape, Caparison went through numerous discussions with Michael Romeo. There were several pre-productions and sample necks examined. At last, this neck grip was decided upon and so named the MJR grip. This is the neck grip he has utilised to play his siganture fast phrases accurately and smoothly. The combination of Maple Finger Board and Pro. White finish on the Dellinger body creates heavy sounds that still have a clear and edgy character. |
The unique pickup, "X2N" by DiMarzio, is installed on the Dellinger-MJR, which Michael Romeo insisted on. The X2N gives this model a unique character over any other previous Caparisons. Also includes Michael Romeo's signature on the headstock veneer.

Mattias "IA" Eklundh Signature
Model Apple Horn SE Orange, Apple Horn SE Sand Stone The Mattias "IA" Eklundh Signature Model Apple Horn was introduced upon Freak Kitchen's premier tour of Japan. The Apple Horn features 27-frets and the Apple Horn original body shape with extended mid-low range thanks to the Caparison original FD finish. The "Apple Horn" logo is engraved deeply into the middle of the mahogany body, resulting in exttra resonance. A push-push switch volume control acts as the pickup selector to switch between the two Caparison pickups. Other features include a maple neck, rosewood fingerboard and Schaller tremolo system. The Apple Horn SE is a 2006 Special Edition updated from the original Apple Horn with the Gotoh hardware components now in Cosmo Black and upgraded wiring. |

New modifications to the Apple Horn-HGS not only emphasize the low sounds but correspond to the specific sounds of his band, Freak Kitchen. The Apple Horn-HGS has rough surfaces with special coating methods. This model also shows the wood grain without the color of wood. Coating with lighter materials provides the sound to change in mid and high ranges.
The bridge pick-up is the Caparison PH-IA, a modified version of the Caparison PH-R, and is mounted direct to the body, resulting in a clearer defintion of tone, particularly from the wound strings when employing low tunings. The Apple Horn-HGS also features a new IA logo on the headstock.
*Note - The Apple Horn-HGS body is finished in rough wood texture so some textiles might get tangled such as fabrics from fuzzy garments, costumes, etc. * The guitar is set up with Drop C tuning unless otherwise specified.

| The debut of the Angelus Model came after much development
between Caparison and Ace. Angelus-ACE was completed with ACE's needs and requirements
based on Caparison's Angelus model. The body back has no contour as in the standard Angelus model, resulting in increased resonance. Schaller's FRT-II locking tremolo is another Ace feature not found on the standard Angelus. Split coil switches are installed for each pickup to produce a wider variety of sounds, and with two independent volume controls allow for subtle adjustments. The Beautiful Prayer fingerboard inlays are another of the signatures of the Angelus-ACE. |
